Iberia’s direct route between Madrid and Tokyo will increase its frequency from three to five times weekly starting this October, which will coincide with the route’s first anniversary.
According to a company statement, more than 102,000 seats will be offered in 2018 on this route, which represents a 13.14% increase over 2017, and strengthens its commitment to the Japanese market.
The scheduling of flights to Tokyo facilitates connections from 22 Spanish cities, including Barcelona, Bilbao, Malaga, Santander, and Tenerife.
In addition, the consulting firm FlightGlobal recently rated Iberia as the world’s most punctual international airline for the second year in a row, with 88.97% of its flights running on time.
